How responses of the child and the adult differ in terms of maturity of moral judgments? What are the factors that explain the differences in Maturity? Correspondence: According to Piagets theory children viewed rules handed down by authorities as to have a permanent life, are not easily changed, and require one to abide by the rules. The responses of the case study correspond to Piagets theory as we see the authority of adults to maintain that children abide by their rules, which encourages unquestioning obedience to those who enforce the rules. Young children believe that people view the rules on the same script and focus more on the outcome than the purpose.
