Figure 13-36 in Chapter 13 of the course text presents a text-based version of a fully developed Print patient invoices use case description for a dental clinic application. Following is a description of a dental clinic staff responsibilities. Use this description as a basis for performing the tasks below.
The receptionists of the dental clinic are responsible for entering information about patients, including head of household information, insurance information, and number of office visits. The dental clinic business manager also maintains patient information, as well as dental staff information. The business manager responsibilities include printing invoices and sending them to the heads of households on a monthly basis, printing insurance invoices on a weekly basis, entering payment information, and compiling reports of overdue invoices. Dental staff are responsible for recording dental procedures per patient, and for running reports about dental procedures performed in a week or a month.
On the basis of the Print patient invoices use case description for the dental clinic application, perform the following tasks:
- Use the Violet UML editor to develop a domain model class diagram-based description of the dental clinic application described above. Use correct UML notations.
- Save the domain model class diagram and label it appropriately to avoid confusion.
- Take a screen shot, copy it to a Microsoft Word document, and save it.
- Use the Violet UML editor to develop a DCD based on the domain model class diagram by adding view layer classes and data access layer classes. Use correct UML notations.
- Save the DCD and label it appropriately to avoid confusion.
