Project specification
Computer control of a DC motor with a flexible joint
Background
Electrical motors are the most important industrial actuators without them there is hardly anything that moves in a modern factory apart from human beings. This project studies computer control of a DC motor with a flexible joint.
Project aim
The aim is to develop a computer controller using the Hilink-DC motor system for laboratory experiments of computer control.
Outcomes
Complete a literature survey on computer control of DC motor with a flexible joint and related applications.
Summarise and evaluate the technologies for this project including the state-of-the-art technology.
Design and simulate a low cost and mobile test bed for the Hilink DC motor with a flexible joint for a computer control laboratory.
Develop a labWare like 3) for the subject of computer control.
You are encouraged to bring your own idea and innovation into this project and will be rewarded if improvement can be demonstrated.
