EE450: Final Exam Information
Date: Friday, Dec 13, Room: SGM 123
Time: 4:30 ~ 6:40 PM (Session 1), 6:50 ~ 9:00 PM (Session 2 &3). Local DEN students can take either of the above two slots. Remote DEN students will be contacted by DEN office about time of the final exam (depending on their time zone and Proctors availability). If you have conflicts or overlaps with other classes, see me in my office and you may take the other session.
Exam is closed book, closed notes with only one 8×11 (both sides) formula sheet allowed. A calculator with new batteries is required! Exam is NOT comprehensive. The material discussed after the midterm (starting from the charts titled Data Link Sliding Window Protocols). However, I do expect you to be able calculate Delay, Throughput, BW x Delay product, etcThe
Format of Exam is similar to that of the midterm. It includes: T/F, MC, fill-in-Blanks (Quickies), Analytic Problems (Ethernet, WLANs, Switches, Routers, Routing algorithms, fragmentation, Subnetting, IP addressing (both Classful and Classless addressing), Masking, TCP error, flow (Sliding Windows) and Congestion Control, Delay, throughput, utilization, and network security.

Discussion Session Notes (You are responsible for any material discussed in these sessions even if they were not discussed in class in detail)
Material from text is ONLY those we discussed in class
Chapter 3: Entire (except 3.6.3 and 3.7.1), most important is section 3.7
Chapter 4: Sections 4.1, 4.4 (first two sections), 4.5, 4.6 (except BGP)
Chapter 5: Sections 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6
Chapter 6: Section 6.3 (first 3 sections only)

Regular Hours: Tuesday/Thursday (December 3, 5). Consult website for hours
Extra Hours: Friday (December 6), 8:00 ~ 11:00 AM

Very Important Rules:
Absolutely NO backpack is allowed in the room. If you bring your backpack, you MUST leave it at the front/back of the room. All you need is a couple of pencils/pens, erasure, ruler, pencil sharpener and a calculator. NOTHING else.
Absolutely NO communications/computing devices including cell/smart phones, Tablets, Laptops, etc Any violation of this rule will result in failing the final.
