Task 1 Bug List
Remember – you should be able to catch the bugs WITHOUT needing to see this list. Only use this to verify your work, or if you have tried but got completely stuck (but you should try speaking to your tutor first anyway)
To protect innocent eyes the bugs are written in white text on a white background. You can either highlight them, or cut and paste them somewhere else to view them.
1. ReportGenerator.generateReport() will yield a report omitting all enrolled student lines
2. Student.setPreferredName will throw an IllegalArgumentException if a null parameter is given.
3. Faculty.getUnit will always return the first unit in its internal list regardless of whether it matches or not.
4. Unit.withdrawStudent will appear to run ok but will not have any effect (the student will not be withdrawn).
5. EnrolmentSystem.addStudent will auto-enrol the student in a Unit.
6. ReportGenerator.generateReport() will not include any line endings.
7. Student() (the constructor) accepts names longer than 64 characters.
8. Faculty.getAbbreviation will return a truncated version of the faculty’s name instead of the abbreviation it was given.
9. Unit.enrolStudent will happily enrol a student with a matching SID and/or unikey to an already enrolled student.
10. EnrolmentSystem.addUnit will throw an incorrect exception type if there is no matching faculty
